Energy Project Engineering Manager

Paris
Permanent contract

About us

Fully aligned with the global challenges of the energy transition, Sweetch Energy is working towards a carbon-neutral world by developing a large-scale electricity generation technology that harnesses osmotic energy, naturally produced when freshwater meets seawater.

Our INOD® technology enables the competitive production of clean electricity from a massively available yet largely untapped renewable resource: osmotic energy.

Your mission

As Head of Energy Project Engineering, your primary mission will be to assess the technical feasibility of osmotic power plant projects, define their engineering design, and specify the auxiliary systems required to optimize plant performance.

Within the Power Department, and in close collaboration with the Product teams, you will be responsible for:

  • Defining the technical solutions for osmotic power plant projects, including water intake and discharge systems, water treatment, pumping, piping, power conversion, instrumentation, control systems, operations and maintenance.

  • Contributing to the definition of the contractual and technical framework of implementation projects in coordination with the Project Manager, including drafting technical specifications, managing supplier consultations, performing technical evaluations of supplier proposals, and validating the selected technical solutions.

  • Preparing and validating the engineering documentation required for project execution, including functional analyses, P&IDs, piping isometrics, electrical schematics, and civil works drawings.

  • Coordinating with the Project Manager to plan and deliver the various engineering phases of each project.

  • Supporting Site teams during the construction and commissioning phases of the installations.

  • Developing and leading the centre of expertise dedicated to water management and auxiliary systems for electricity generation from osmotic energy.

  • Acting as the internal technical interface between the Product Development team, the Product Industrialization team, and the Project Implementation & Commissioning team.

The ideal profile

  • Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in the water and/or energy sectors.

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies.

  • Demonstrated experience in the technical development of energy or water infrastructure projects (such as wastewater treatment plants, seawater desalination plants, or similar facilities).

  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working autonomously, with excellent interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills.

  • Professional proficiency in English is required.

  • The position requires regular travel within the South of France and Brittany.

  • Passionate about renewable energy—and particularly blue energy—you are eager to contribute to innovative projects that support a cleaner planet and help tackle climate change.

  • Well-organized, rigorous, committed, and dynamic, you enjoy working collaboratively and have the qualities needed to succeed in this role.
